First day of the semester

I really had no idea when I started this blog that it would be a place for me to record all the embarrassing things that happen to me. But alas, that is what it has come down to once again. I spent the first class on the first day of the semester being a little bit embarrassed. I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for the day. I went to campus and found my class early. And then I waited for it to start. When the professor walked in the door I just started to laugh. He looked at me with a seriously surprised look and asked if I was really in his class. My classmates just looked at the exchange with curious faces. They had no idea that the professor was my uncle Russ. He asked me if it was a joke, me sitting in his class ready to learn. I said that I really hoped it was a joke. He then went on to tell me that I couldn't possibly be his class because I was in 2010 last semester. I heard the kid behind me ask the kid sitting next to him how the professor knew so much about my schedule. I was just praying for this to be my class; not because I wanted to be in Russ's class (because I know how difficult the course work would be) but because I didn't want to have to walk out and face the embarrassment that would surely continue at every family party. So I did finally get the guts to stand up and say that it was not my class when he passed out the syllabus and I found the course work really was way worse than a little blushing. So when I told him I was not in the right place he laughed really hard and as I walked out he announced to the class ''Thats my niece walking out the door!" What an adventure. :)

Another good time with Russ. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to randomly ask him out adding "y" to words like Parker did!
