Today one of Mckenzies friends was pointing at laughing at me at their basketball game. At first I was merely confused by this but I just thought she was laughing at my clothing selection. I had on ripped pants, blue polka-dot shoes, a yellow and grey long sleeve shirt under a black shirt that says "I AM DAVID BITTON" (I don't know who david bitton is...) and my hair was a wild mess of curls. Not to mention I smelled strongly of paint remover. (That is for another blog entirely.) But back to the story, I wasn't offended until she got other girls involved in the pointing and laughing. They were nodding and giggling so much it made me want to ask them if they had never seen a hobo before. I knew I looked a little bit ridiculous, I didn't need them to rub it in. After the game I went to get Mac so we could go home and the girls were pointing and laughing again! I was standing two feet away from them!! They could at least have the decency to laugh behind my back! Then they decided to add insult to injury. One of the girls got the guts to tell me that I looked like Blake Lively. The thought that went through my head was, not knowing Blake Lively from Adam, Oh gee thanks, now I know you were laughing at me because I look like a man. Real nice. I just gave her this look that said "Seriously? You couldn't have kept that to yourself?"
Well Mckenzie came to both of our rescues when she told me that Blake Lively was in fact, a girl. And a pretty one at that. So my indignant rage quickly turned into grateful surprise. No one has ever told me that I look like a celebrity. I personally don't see it, but I am glad that she said it. :) The girl in the picture is Blake Lively.
