First, it was finals last week and studying before that. They went great! :) I love when they are over and I can finally relax. I really do love school but sometimes a break is more than welcome.
Second, this one comes with a serious thought provoking life (sort of) changing moment for me. I have been volunteering at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. I absolutely LOVED it. The kids there, on the deaf side, (they are the ones that I hung out with) were sooooooooooooo adorable. They gave me a name sign and everything. I was super surprised at how fast they could sign. They were only 7 years old for crying out loud! I really enjoyed talking to them and getting to see them in a classroom setting and hanging out with their super awesome teacher. When I went to Utah State my major was Elementary Education with a Deaf composite. This meant that I could teach in a hearing school or a deaf school when I got my degree. Well, sadly Weber doesn't really have this program, at least that is what I am told. So I dropped the composite part of it and went straight El Ed, which was awesome and I love it. But going to that school reminded me that I really love sign language and that I really wanted to work in a deaf school. So the (almost, maybe) life changing part of that was that now I am thinking of postponing getting my teaching degree and getting my interpreters licence first. But this is all still just an idea..... hmmm I guess only time will tell what I decide. Oh life.
Other than that I have no good excuse for not blogging. I am a blog slacker.
