past my prime

So I've been lying to you all. I have not been a better blogger. I just thought I would get that out in the open before typing and starting this new blog/rant.
Boys. That is what they are. No, not men, just boys. The people my age, of the male gender, are starting to get a little bit ridiculous. Not only do they not want to date but they just want to "hang out" with all 15 year old girls. This is a little over dramatic, admittedly, but still, point being, if the boys in my social group are going to hang out and occasionally date 18 and 19 year old girls, where in the world does this leave me? I am past my prime. haha clearly I have been having no luck with the dating game. :) But worry not because I have been having a ton of fun. I love my singles ward. I have some really great friends I wouldn't trade. I went to the taking back sunday concert and it was amazing! They sure are getting old but they are major talented. I also enjoyed me some fireworks last night down in layton. It was really funny. I went with some of my friends that are girls and we got so many cat calls (not for me haha i am not that vain) but we started tallying and got 10 just walking to and from the field we sat at. It was a rather strange feeling. I also shot off a potato cannon with some of my friends. I learned the physics behind it but I won't bore you with that here, but I will tell you that I almost shot Ben in the face with a blast of fire. Sorry about that buddy.... This summer has been an adventurous one where I feel like I should always be playing and out and about. It has been awesome. I will do my best to update more often. Oh gosh funny but sad story tho if you are still reading. So I have this friend Ben. He called and said that I should come to his house. So I did, it being his birthday and all. Well when I got there his dad opened the door and said that Ben was, in fact, not home. I tried to just leave my pathetic present and leave but he, in his bathrobe, wouldn't hear of it. Ben should be home soon. Well, I waited and waited. Then he called and said he was sorry a girl called and wanted to take him out to ice cream....so he went. He thought he would be back in time...gee thanks Ben...... Anyway, his dad asked if I liked tv. I said yes. Then we chatted about the history channel and made small talk until his little brother turned the shower off and the dad ran in to tell him to put some clothes on before he came outside. Then his mother and sisters came in to chat as well. FINALLY Ben gets home and just walks into his bedroom, leaving me still hanging out with his dad. Happy freaking birthday Ben. Thanks for all the awkward moments. Pictures to come.
